On today’s episode of The Troubadour I’ll be visiting with fellow Kansan singer-songwriter and band leader, Lucas Maddy. Just like I did, Lucas really cut his teeth as a live performer and musician in Manhattan, KS during his college years. Even at a relatively young age, Lucas has already lead an interesting life. Along with his accomplishments as a live entertainer, Lucas is also a past student body president of Kansas State University and has a great story of when the Randy Rogers Band stumped for his campaign. In this episode Lucas divulges hows the connections he’s made in life have created opportunities for him to hob-nob with high profile politicians, including U.S. presidents, as well as taking a spin on a mini-bike owned by Red-Dirt music forfather, Mike McClure and the unfortunate crash into Mike’s trailer that followed.
